Hi all

[UPDATE] We've gotten a huge response.. thanks all, we don't need any more testers right now, but we'll make sure to contact you when we need testing on specific hardware. Again, thanks for signing up! Hopefully, we will release an alpha version soon. I've gotten a MacBook, and porting PAP to that has started.

There's a test release of PAP 4.0 ready for anyone who wants to try it out. So far, it's only been tested on my iBook G4.

We've decided to put an extra effort into getting the Mac OS X version of PAP 4.0 done.. next step is to release a 4.0 beta version, so we're in beta on all three platforms.. All three platforms share the same code base, so the features will be the same as with the Linux and Windows versions.

Before that happens, we need to get an alpha version tested on different Mac OS X systems.. I'm developing on an iBook G4 12" (no X11!), and I want to make sure that it will work on all kinds of Macs (Mac OS X only!)

I'm concerned about the Intel Mac - we should be ready for that too, but I'm not sure I have access to one..

If you want, you can sign up in this thread by telling us what hardware you've got (mac, 32/64bit, tablet, and what you think is relevant) and whether you would be willing to do some some alpha testing for us.

IF YOU'VE GOT AN INTEL MAC, SPEAK UP PLEASE! Smile

-My main machine for work ( for which I want to get the final version of PAP) is an iMac G5 2.1 GHZ running Tiger with 2 gig RAM, I work with a small Wacom Intuos A6 tablet.( the first of the usb versions I think)

-I've also got an iBook G4 800 mgh running Tiger with 640 mb RAM, and a Powerbook G3 also running Tiger and 640 mb RAM.

I've sent you an email with some test details.

Thanks for helping out! The sooner we get this tested, the sooner we can release a final version!

Hello,

I've been very excited about Pap on a Mac for a while now. I use Animo as well so really want to get into using PAP.

I've got an Intel iMAC (2GHz Intel Core Duo, OSX10.4.6) so if there's any testing you want me to do i'm happy to help.

I've been checking every day for months to see how close you guys are to a Mac release. Good to see some news.

I have a dual 1.25 Ghz G4 with 1 gig RAM at home. I would be happy to try out the test version of PAP, if that's a configuration you would like to test on.
